5G Open Innovation Lab

World Leading Industry-Led Innovation Ecosystem Dedicated to the Modernization and Monetization of Telco Industry
Our industry-focused Lab, known as the 5G Open Innovation Lab, unites communications service providers (CSPs), global tech platforms, enterprises, and multi-stage startups. Just as electric vehicles are revolutionizing the automotive industry, our initiatives are reshaping how CSPs approach growth and innovation in the 21st century. Together, we explore new monetization opportunities and business model evolutions to help CSPs transform into platforms that generate greater returns from their significant network investments. The playbook for 4G LTE doesn’t have to be the playbook for 5G.

Why now?

Why now?

The true opportunity of 5G lies within the enterprise, not the consumer market. By moving beyond traditional network services, telcos can develop robust platform capabilities that foster an ecosystem rich in value. Since our launch in 2020, our program has been at the forefront of this transformation. We have pioneered real-world use cases that not only demonstrate the incredible possibilities of 5G and edge but also challenge telcos to rethink their role in the value chain.

Through our engineering-led experimentation arm, KhasmX, we are dedicated to exploring business model transformation through innovation. Our initiatives include pioneering reference platforms like KEEN (Khasm Enterprise Edge Network) and KTEN (Khasm Tactical Edge Network), as well as launching groundbreaking projects such as Telco AI Cloud. By continuously experimenting and evolving, we aim to redefine the boundaries of what’s possible in the telecommunications industry.
